It doesn’t seem like trading oil futures should have much affect on the actual price of oil that changes hands. Thats still governed by supply and demand, right? If speculators drove the price above what the consumer was willing to pay then the demand would drop, prices would follow, and the speculators would be out a lot of money.

hmmm…. but then again I’m no economist. maybe someone here can explain it to me.
Yes, that does make sense I suppose.

I have a 2004 Dodge Intrepid with the 2.7L V6 engine. It has about 120,700 miles on it. The oil pressure light has been coming on when I am driving and staying on the entire time. I just had the oil changed and we put Mobil 1 0W-40 advanced full synthetic oil in it. After the oil change, the light still comes on when I am driving and stays on constantly. Is this the oil sending unit? If so, how much does this part cost and how much would it cost to have it fixed?
The engine runs and sounds fine. The check engine light was coming on, but it hasn’t come on for about a month now. It’s just the oil light.

Oil Change with Fumoto Quick Drain Valve

The following video shows how doing an oil change is so much easier than with the conventional drain plug. You just need a clear plastic tube, normally supplied with those oil top up bottles, attach it to the drain plug, move a small lever and the oil drains out. It’s that simple.

The question is, I wonder how reliable these drain valves are in the long term. Will they stand the test of time that the conventional method has managed to achieve. Time will tell I guess.

This is a how to video on how to change a fuel pressure regulator on a 96 LT1 Corvette. This is a similar process for almost all cars. This will be identical to all LT1s and LT4s. This will take 30min max and you will need: -small flat head screw driver -5/16 ratchet or wrench (for battery terminal) -various sized star torx wrenches Steps: -spray the torx bolts with “liquid wrench” or some other nut remover to make it easier to remove the bolts. -start by disconnecting the negative battery terminal. -relieve fuel pressure with a fuel pressure gauge or carefully push a screw driver in the fuel pressure valve. – Unscrew and remove the torx bolt that holds the fuel lines down. (the fuel line that goes to the FPR should be loose now) -Unscrew the torx bolt that holds down the fuel pressure regulator (it screws into the fuel rail). -Have a plastic container under the FPR so that excess fuel can fall into it and not on your engine. -Remove the fuel pressure regulator from the fuel rail -Unclip the fuel line from the FPR and now it should be completely removed -Add motor oil to the o-rings that are on the FPR -Attach the new FPR to the fuel rail first -Attach the FPR to the fuel line and reset the clip – Screw down the fuel line torx bolt -make sure you let the area air out so there are no fumes then attach the negative battery terminal -start the engine and check for leaks You are done! a 0 Job done for This info is for use at your own risk. This is how I fixed my FPR…

I’m growing tired of my 02′ Audi after 8 years of ownership. The WRX has all wheel drive and the BMW uses rear wheel drive. The interior, fit and finish of the BMW is much better than the Subaru. The BMW is tad faster at 13.3 in the 1/4, but cost about 3K more, no biggie. The STi is a bit more to insure. I have NO plans on modding. The BMW comes with free dealer oil changes using synthetic oil for the first 50k or 4 years of ownership.

                      What would you buy?
