Captain Rave

The ship’s broken rubber rudder
destines him to the satellite lands of
clickety-clack, spin, wobble, spin

Murmurings olden tongues
bolden mariners navigate newest worlds

Captain Rave

Black, moldable garbage bags
shield deadly heat rays of summer

Captain Rave

Landlubbers give wide berth
deferentially, under his charismatic,
aromatic visage

Captain Rave

Carrier of treasured acquisitions for trade:
Pizza box covered with ripped pictures
of hungry people staring without

Never empty urine colored
olive oil bottles

Assorted left shoes &
right wing magazines

Eating what others leave behind
cruising from nightly port to port

Captain Rave, he’s the Captain of his cart

Surreptitiously engaged in infinite searches
in bagged goods for a match to your
distant pupating needs

Thinking the better
surveying the roiling Seventh Avenue Seas
he retires to a subterranean estate

Spread cardboard bed
complete with newspaper sheets
He lays to slumber
Oversleep? … not to worry
the rats are alarming

Unseen water all around but none see worthy
Brew an old recipe from the golden recipe
Amass, compress & ferment

Captain Rank

Smells of what he muss
Reach into the mystic cart
a little punched fruit helps
all the filth go down

Clip, snip, rip coupons
looking for discounts on morality

Plays solitaire repetitiously
Seeking an opponent

In a flurry, furry fury
The new Jester’s balls are airborne

Screaming quietly he feverously
scrawls a note to apologize
to all for tomorrow’s chaos

Captain Rave

In darkest mind
Rave wrests the daggered hand
of pseudo freedoms
Keeper of old troubles
He’s a rancid, rancor, rakish, rapacious
and rambling tumbleweed

Peering out of a stylish powder blue bag
a time hardened pink flamingo
invites the Good Captain
to fly south

Declining the gracious offer
Rave, explained in flamingish
I, I’s, me, we and us
so long ago took flight
us-es were the only to arrive

His cart tied up at the stair dock
challenges every bright-eyed
steel box that approaches.

The Captain,
pleased at his power
views the boxes aggressive rush in
but always slink away.

He is the ruler of the under & above.

Captain Rave.

that discount services/labor for 3 services (one will be oil change) so I can have 2 more services done. I am ignorant of costs & necessity of service so don’t want to make bad choice or be taken advantage of (perhaps I’d do better going somewhere that doesn’t have "coupons"???

Car has 115k miles. Owned since 30k (fleet car previously). I’ve only changed oil/battery & had transmission serviced, belt tension-er replaced, and of course tires. No other service.

So, what I THINK I need would be brake job, because they’re making a little noise (for 2nd time in 6 months…made a little noise for few days then stopped, and started again week or so ago…not grinding sounds, just little squeak). Coupon is off complete brake job. Don’t know what average cost is for complete brake job though. With and without rotators would be different..would I probably need rotators all the way around???

Also have coupon for off Cooling System Flush,so thought that may be good 3rd choice? But again, don’t know for sure or what average cost would be for this?

The Free Check Engine Light Scan appeals because my Check Engine light comes on sometimes but it appears to be related to fuel cap. If I blow out the fumes in cap and where gas nozzle goes, it goes off after a few hours or so…so maybe it would be a waste compared to Cooling System Flush?

The other coupon choices are: Free Fuel Injection Service (Chemicals additional), A/C Performance Service (Freon & Dye Additional), Radiator Drain & Re-Fill (Coolant additional), Last but not least coupon is for Half Off of Wheel Alignment (up to ).

I welcome guidance from a knowledgeable person as to how best to use my limited $ and still do what my car needs!
Blessings,
Becky :-)
Mark F., I explained in great detail WHY I’m asking and why simply going by their rates isn’t ideal. Either you didn’t bother to read and understand my questions or you’re just being a jerk. I am genuinely seeking help to make this decision! Coupons aren’t always a good deal!!

brands? I have a coupon for 25% off an oil change at Firestone. They advertise using Kendall oil and my husband freaked out….telling me to buy Castrol and he will do it himself.

I just don’t get it. I know some brands are better than others, like in anything else, but is Kendall that bad compared to Castrol?

On a bad month I make about 00 after tax and I’m 19 years old. I am wanting to move closer to work and school out of my parents house so I am not paying so much for gas since that is going up.

My monthly expenses so far:
Phone:
Car Insurance: 5
School: 5
Gas: 0 (as of now, gas prices are going up)
Medication:

I figure I will be able to get by on a min of 0 worth of groceries a month since my medication makes my appetite low and I can eat things like ramen and canned food as well as using coupons. This will include toiletries also since I only need to replace those every couple of months or so.

Cheaper apartments in my area (Kansas City/Overland Park) run between 5-500 a month plus amenities but I have absolutely no idea how much water/gas/electricity cost per month…

Am I forgetting any necessary expenses? (I dont watch tv so dont need cable, I have internet access on my phone with tethering for my laptop, and I really dont need heating/cooling if i cant afford theres always space heaters and fans which I already own, I already have some furniture and tv and microwaves and things like that)

I do want to have some saving money after in case I need to do some work on my car or something emergency, but I work at a dealership and I have been doing my own oil changes and tire rotations with the help of my brother.
Also, I would prefer to live on my own but a two bedroom with roommate is an option, I just need help figuring what I can afford
