How much does it usually cost for this service? Sullivan Goodyear charged me 69.95. I wasn’t sure if I got ripped off or it was a reasonable price. Experienced people only, pls!
For those who didn’t understood my question, what is the cost of getting "Full Synthetic Oil" and filter Change? I know regular oil is cheaper.

The last oil change I got cost me less than $20.00 at the Buick dealer. If you are changing your oil every 3,000 to 5,000 miles and your automobile doesn’t require synthetics, your throwing a lot of money away! Never paid more than $25.00 for any oil change.
I do my own oil change, always using Castrol full synthetic oil. A 4.5L jug costs me $30 at walmart, plus another $5.50 for the oil filter. $70 for an oil change is very expensive. I understand you have to pay a little more for the service but regardless you need to find another shop. The best thing to do is buy your own oil and filter and find an independant garage to change the oil for you. I noticed that Goodyear service places are absolutely terrible in terms of service and prices. Many times they will rip you off by just putting in regular oil and charging you for synthetic. Theres a very good chance you have just regular oil in your car, because once its in the car, its impossible to tell regular from synthetic just by looking at it.
50 to 60 is about right for a synthetic change. 70 seems a little high. If you are going to follow Subaru’s recommended intervals, I would not bother with synthetics though. The main advantage to synthetic oil is that it doesn’t break down as easily as conventional oil so you can go much longer between changes. This however may be something that Subaru will have an issue with as far as their warranty is concerned. So if you are still going to have the oil changed when they say you should for the sake of the warranty, there isn’t much an advantage to using synthetics.
i pay around $70 for 5qts of royal purple and a k&n oil filter. i change my own oil just for the fact of you dont know what they are really putting in your car. synthetics last longer and DO HAVE ADVANTAGES. better wear protection, better gas mileage due to its slippery viscosity.
Dealer price around 70, that usually included the oil, filter, and check. For regular bulk oil, cost you around 25-40 depends where you live.
If you have a garage, you can DIY for around 35 bucks. Mobil 1 Fully Syn 5/30 5 gallon bottle cost around 22-27 dollars. A Fram extra guard filter cost you around 5. When you done, bring the oil to the local shop, they usually charge you 2 – 4 dollars for recycle.
