01 isuzu rodeo. recently had an accident and just picked up the car from the body shop after 00 in damage. went right to jiffy lube since i was due for an oil change and the body shop didn’t do one. they said i have a major leak. should i be shocked? can this wait a few days to be seen?

I think Jiffy Lube did it. They break things in thoughs shops.
how bad do you hate walking let alone spend more money?no you should not wait .take it back to body shop and tell them to fix it for 8300 they should be glad to
I would report this to your insurance company. The body shop should have made sure your vehicle was mechanically sound before releasing it to you. Take it to the repair shop that they designate, or if you have a mechanic that you trust, see if the insurance will approve them to look at it and make repairs. If the transmission is leaking because of your accident, the insurance should cover this. I would not drive your vehicle until you can be sure it is fully repaired.
It’s a body shop, not a garage. They’re not suppose to fix that stuff.
need to take it back and have them check it out and call the insurance co. to let them know also, to see if the leak is related to the wreck, or has it been leaking for a while? and what is leaking? oil AFT or antifreeze? and ask them, and if need to have a second opinion take it to another shop, and it it was wreck related you should not have to pay the deducible again
You need to call the insurance adjuster as soon as possible. It appears the wreck may have damage the transmission and it needs to be repaired by the insurance co and not out of your pocket.
wait! take your car back to the bodyshop and insist the insurance company do a supliment repair! this is most likely caused by the accident’ tell the bodyshop you had no trans fluid leak before the accident’ i am a technician and accidents can cause trans leaks and other problems such as engine knocks etc.
Jeffy lube is the last place to trust. Take it to some reputable shop. Do you see a puddle under the vehicle ater overnight parking?
In any case, if trans runs out of fluid you’ll end up with major mechanical damage.
most likely the leak has nothing to do with the accident, accidents do not cause transmissions to leak, unless by chance your car has a transmission cooler it could have been damaged,but I doubt your Rodeo has a cooler
haha yeah you should take it to the insuarance company but a leak usually just means that your seals for your transmission case are worn down or it has a crack in it so find someone who knows how to change your gaskets for you transmission fluid
Do NOT trust anything JiffyLube says. Find a neighborhood mechanic and have your oil changes done there. He will get to know your car and advise you on what NEEDS to be done, not what will make money for the business.
Do you see any puddles under the vehicle after it has been sitting for awhile? If so, and it is a big puddle, don’t drive it until you determine the cause of the leak. No puddle, no problem, just JiffyLube looking to hustle you.
If there IS a puddle, notify the insurance company immediately. It could easily be a cracked transmission case.
yeah do your self a big favor get another claim out of it but dont fix it sell the damn P.O.S and get yourself a real rig like a chevy or toyota anything but a pile like isuzu rolling recalls.
Well, just see if the insurance will approve them to look at it and make repairs.
