This video shows how to make an oil filter strap wrench. The unique part, is the “add-on’s” at the end of the video. This is the only tool you need for a complete oil change on any vehicle. It will wrench off any size filter, and take out any size oil pan plug.

Oil Capacity question
I’m looking to do an oil change this weekend and need to know the quantity of oil to buy. Does anyone know how many quarts it takes to do an oil change on a 98 Toyota Sienna LX V6 engine?
Royal Purple Motor & Transmission Oil Comparison
I have been researching into different oil manufacturers and wonder if the Royal Purple brand is really cost effective while at the same time giving my engine the full protection it deserves?
I currently use Mobil 1 Synthetic oil for both my Ford Transit and car. Can I change brands on my 09 Toyota Corolla at a later time if I wanted? Also how many miles can synthetic oils last between oil changes? I usually change the oil every 7,000 miles. Does this sound about the right interval for each lube change?
Transmission and Engine Oil Leak
I had a oil change done on my 1992 Toyota Camry and I was told i have a transmission and engine oil leak.
How much does it usually cost to fix a problem like that? Unfortunately I do not have any more information as to where the leak or leaks are coming from.
Is it just a question of replacing some gaskets and does it involve pulling out the whole engine and transmission out to repair it, and if so how long would it take to repair it? I going to have to do something soon as I am losing a significant amount of oil each month and the cost of oil is expensive.

What is the difference between V6 and V4 engine Oil Change??
I have been doing the Oil change for my Camry 2003 LE V4 so if it is same and just more oil then it seems easy as I will be doing it first time in Sienna. Also, is Oil tank nob is same place as Camry 2003 LE as well as Oil Filter and require same tools to remove them??
What is the duration for the Oil Change as Toyota now recommends 5000 or every 6 months…is this OK or we should stick to 3,000 or 3 months??

I have Toyota Corolla S 2007. I don’t use this car everyday on the freeway, but, but I do use this car everyday on the local. (I do freeway occasionally)
I know little sicker one the top of driving side tells when I need to change, but do I have to flow he mile or date? I have hear I have to flow the date since I only use this car on the local, but someone also told me it’s OK to flow the mile.
Please let me know. Thank you.

The mechanic said there was sludge in the engine (2003 toyota camry, oil change was 1500 miles ago, has 95,000 miles on it.). He said for diagnosis, cleaning the oil pan and strainer of sludge, evaluation of engine without taking everything else apart, a new oil change, labor, and taxes – the amount came to 0.
Am I getting hosed?
(Its at a Mobil station garage.) He says if most of the sludge drips to the bottom so they can clean it, I’d be able to take it home today.
He said Toyota sensors are really good and the fact that my check engine light didnt go on, it probably means there is little to no damage to the engine right now. He said its not the pump because the light only goes on when the engine warms up (10 mins or so). He also said the engine sounds good when it is on (no rattling or bad noise). He thinks there is no or little damage.
Is this a good/bad deal (or avg)? Do you agree with his analysis?
Hey you all,
I bought a 2010 Ford Fusion a month ago with 15000 miles. The car is very nice and drives great. Over the weekend check the oil level and discovered the car is losing oil. Last oil changed I put 5 quarter Mobil 1; it was showing full on stick and now showing losing a bout a quarter of oil. The car is under warranty and I am taking it dealer this week, just want to know 15000 miles losing oil is disappointing. Driven Toyota for many years and thought it was the time to test drives Ford. Any thought appreciated.
